On Monday, November 3 at 11:30 p.m., Oak Forest police officers responded to the BP gas station at 5548 W. 159th Street after receiving a report regarding a male subject inappropriately touching a juvenile female victim. Upon arrival, police officers found the offender hiding near the gas station’s dumpsters and took him into custody.
After a thorough investigation with assistance from the Markham Police Department, Oak Forest police charged 62-year-old Froylan Bahena-Vargas of Markham with one felony 2 count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Bahena-Vargas appeared for his initial court hearing at the Bridgeview Courthouse on Thursday, November 13. He was detained by the judge. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, December 5.
