After the 5K, children and adults can bike, blade, and play a car-free Cicero Avenue until the family parade steps off at 11 a.m. The parade, which heads north from 157th Street, includes local businesses, community and civic groups, families, and more. The Friends of Oak Forest Animal Control Commission will serve as this year’s grand marshal. The group is inviting residents and their dogs to walk with them in the parade. The pub and restaurant open house will take place throughout the day and night. This year’s Fleadh sponsors include Blarney Stone Pub, Oak Forest Bowl, Marcotte’s, Beggar’s Pizza, Nite Games, and Cindy’s Pub. Throughout the event, alcohol will be permitted only inside designated areas such as beer tents, beer gardens, pubs, and restaurants. The city's public intoxication and open containers ordinances will be strictly enforced.
