On August 23 at 5:53 p.m., Oak Forest Police responded to Fifth Third Bank at 15533 S. Cicero Avenue for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, police units learned that an African-American male entered the building wearing light-colored jeans and a grey shirt. While in the bank, the suspect displayed a silver handgun and requested money. Once the suspect obtained money from the bank, he fled on foot. A K9 search produced negative results. Currently, the FBI and the Oak Forest Investigations Division are working on leads.
