The Oak Forest Fleadh is Saturday, March 7.
Approximately 500 runners will participate in the 5k race, which begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs through local neighborhoods from 149th to 156th and from Long Avenue to Lavergne Avenue. There will be no parking on the route between 7 and 10 a.m. Street closures will be in effect from approximately 7 to 10 a.m.
The family parade steps off at 11 a.m. at 151st and Central Avenue. Street closures will be in effect from approximately 10:30 a.m. to noon on 151st Street from Central Avenue to Condado Drive and Central Avenue from 151st Street to Independence Avenue.
Please note these street closures if you are trying to access Early Voting at City Hall on Saturday. Early Voting will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be difficult to access via vehicle between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Please be patient if you are traveling through town on Saturday morning.
