City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2021, in observance of Labor Day.
During non-business hours, please use the Night Depository Mail Slot at City Hall, pay parking or ordinance tickets online or sign-up for online water bill payments.

"I Am An American" Day Parade

We all love a parade. But have you ever wanted to be IN a parade? Decorate your bike, wagon or stroller with patriotic flare in red, white and blue and participate in the parade. Come to Oak Forest High School at 10:30 AM!

Parade will step off right at 11:00 AM and make its way south on Central Avenue and end at the Oak Forest Park District.

Please note that current CDC Guidelines for COVID-19 will be followed!

20th Anniversary of 9/11

Join the City of Oak Forest Firefighters/Paramedics, Police Department and Veterans Commission for a brief ceremony commemorating the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 on Saturday, September 11, at 10 am by the 9-11 Memorial Display on the Oak Forest City Hall Campus at 15440 S. Central Avenue.

Community Shred Event September 11, 2021 from Noon to 2 PM

Make sure your identity is protected! Bring your important documents to be shredded to the Community Shred Event hosted by State Representative Robert "Bob" Rita and Mayor Hank Kuspa at the Oak Forest City Hall Campus, 15440 S. Central Avenue next Saturday, September 11, 2021, from Noon to 2:00 pm.

Each ton (2,000 pounds) of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, 4,000 kilowatts of energy, and 7,000 gallons of water.

2021 Road Program

The Oak Forest City Council approved an award of contract to Iroquois Paving Corporation for the 2021 Road Program. This work will began this week.

The contractor will notify all the residents a day before any work will be done to your apron or curb with a notice on your door.

Work will begin on Sayre Avenue and will proceed in order below. This year’s program will include the following twelve street segments to be resurfaced:

Sayre Ave.: 155th Pl. to 156th Pl.
Bramblewood Rd.: 155th Pl. to 156th Pl.
Brianne Ln.: Victoria Dr. to Courtney Dr.
Courtney Dr.: Pine Dr. to Brianne Ln.
Rob Roy Dr.: 157th St. to Victoria Dr.
Rob Roy Ct.: Rob Roy Dr. to End
Rob Roy Dr.: 157th St. to 159th St.
Brookwood Dr.: Arroyo Ct. to End
Fairfax Rd.: Edward Dr. to Duncan Rd.
Leclaire Ave.: 159th St. to 155th St.
Roy St.: Richard Ave. to Henry St.
Barton Ln.: Frontage Rd. to Barry Ln.
