On October 9th, Oak Forest High School will be hosting the 4th Colonel Madden Mad Dash Cross Country Race and Community Race.

The races will be starting on 151st Street and then turn immediately onto Long Avenue. Long will be completely closed off from 151st to 157th. However runners will only be on Long Avenue from 8:55 to 9:10 am. By 9:10, 151st and Long Avenue will both be completely open.

Allstate Donation

Allstate Supports Special Olympics

Susan and Carlos Semanate, owners and operators of Allstate Insurance at 15540 Cicero Avenue, Unit B, have been longtime supporters of the Oak Forest Police Department Special Olympics fundraising efforts. This year they provided the OFPD Special Olympics dirt track race team members, Chief Jason Reid and Officer Robert LaChapelle (driver), with a check for $500.00. The funds raised each year go toward helping individuals with developmental disabilities perform in events through the Illinois Special Olympics.  The Oak Forest Police Department would like to thank Susan, Carlos, and the entire Oak Forest community for always supporting our efforts to raise funds for Illinois Special Olympics.

City Council Meeting Chambers

Oak Forest City Council Meeting

The next City Council Meeting will be held on October 12, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

CITIZENS PARTICIPATION

The Oak Forest City Council invites public comment at its meetings, but it generally does not have the ability to provide an immediate response to some questions raised during the Citizens Participation portion of a council meeting without some reasonable opportunity to review them.  Therefore, the City Council encourages questions to also be submitted in writing in the event that they need to be referred to City staff to help assure a more thoughtful and informed response.  The Council Chambers is open for the public to attend.  Social distancing must be maintained by attendees and masks must also be worn.

OAK FOREST BROADCAST NETWORK AIRS MEETINGS LIVE

Residents are invited to attend the meeting (must wear a mask and practice social distancing) or you can watch live on CIC-TV at www.oak-forest.org/live or on one of the following television channels:
