Once Upon a Cure

On Thursday, February 23, music students from Tinley Park and Oak Forest High Schools will be teaming up to produce “Once Upon a Cure,” a benefit concert to raise money for “Together We’re Stronger," a team sponsor for Together We Cope. This team supports Oak Forest High School student Emily Tibbet. The performance will take place in Oak Forest High School's Cafetorium at 7 p.m. There is a $5 admission with t-shirts and fun accessory items for younger students to buy as well.

According to Choral Director Victor Pazik, the idea was entirely student directed, “A number of students approached me stating they were interested in doing something for the community. After holding a few meetings a Disney themed concert was established to entertain and raise money for this incredible cause.”

The Tinley Park and Oak Forest High School Choirs, as well as the Oak Forest High School Jazz Band, will perform. At the end of the concert, all proceeds will be will be presented to the American Cancer Society. We hope to pack the house and for those who cannot attend, donations can be sent to Mr. Pazik at Oak Forest High School. For additional information, please contact Mr. Pazik at vpazik@bhsd228.com.
