All surveyed businesses pass second round of tobacco compliance checks


The Oak Forest Police Department is pleased to announce a 100 percent compliance rate for this round of the Kids Can't Buy Them Here tobacco compliance surveys. Identification was requested from the youth agents at every business surveyed.

Civil Service Commission seeks to establish eligibility list for telecommuniator


The Civil Service Commission of the City of Oak Forest is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of emergency telecommunicator.  The commission is establishing an eligibility list only. There are no open positions at this time.

Bremen Township invites seniors to lunch 


In partnership with AgeOptions, Bremen Township continues to serve hot, healthy lunches to seniors age 60+ with no residency requirements. Come try our delicious meals and warm atmosphere Monday through Friday at noon at 15350 S. Oak Park Avenue. Requested donation is $4.  Please RSVP a week in advance by calling 708-687-8220. View the menu. We are also seeking folks interested in playing Pinochle or Mah Jongg before lunch on Wednesdays at the same location.  And, on March 23, before lunch, VCP Home Health Care will be offering glucose and balance testing.
