All vehicles that are housed in Oak Forest must be registered with the city and must display a current vehicle sticker at all times. The stickers are valid from July 1 - June 30 of each year. Senior citizens, 65 and older, are eligible to receive two free vehicle stickers per household with proper id and vehicle registration. Buy your sticker online, through the mail or at City Hall.

The Gingerwood Pool at 5124 Aldersyde Road is open to all Oak Forest residents. Daily operating hours are noon to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Odd/even sprinkling rules are in effect until September 15. Sprinkling is allowed from 7 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 11 p.m. on the odd/even basis. If the last digit in your street address is odd then you may sprinkle only on odd numbered calendar days. If the last digit in your address is even then you are restricted to sprinkling on even numbered calendar days.

Relay for Life Oak Forest begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 at the Oak Forest Park District. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world's largest fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. Bremen Township will offer the Arthritis Foundation's Walk with Ease program on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. starting June 13 at the township Senior Center at 15350 S. Oak Park Ave, Oak Forest. Sessions include informational discussions, warm up and cool downs and a 10-to 35-minute walking period. This program meets twice a week for nine weeks and is in partnership with White Crane Wellness. There is no charge for Bremen Township residents and a $20 fee for non-residents.
