We shredded more than 11,700 pounds of paper at Saturday's Community Shred Event with State Rep. Bob Rita! Each ton (2,000 pounds) of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, 4,000 kilowatts of energy, and 7,000 gallons of water. Therefore, we saved 99.45 trees, 2,223 gallons of oil, 23,400 kilowatts of energy, and 40,950 gallons of water.
