Vehicle stickers officially go on sale on Monday, June 1, but you can buy your sticker today online! Residents that currently have their vehicles registered with the city, should receive their applications in the mail today or tomorrow. Senior citizens, 65 and older, are eligible to receive two free vehicle stickers per household with proper ID and vehicle registration.

 On Tuesday, there were two new faces on the City Council dias: Mayor for the Day Billy Miller (3rd grader at Scarlet Oak) and City Clerk for the Day Katelyn Ceska (4th grader at Arbor Park). Both students did a great job helping to facilitate the meeting.

If selected, you can paint one of the doors that have been removed from the vacant apartment buildings on 157th Street and are being installed around the Metra train station area.  Thank you to everyone who came out to VFW Post 4241's annual Memorial Day ceremony, including the Oak Forest High School Harmoni jazz group seen here with Mayor Hank Kuspa, City Clerk Scott Burkhardt and VFW Commander Don Snedden. The jazz group did a terrific job performing several patriotic songs during the ceremony.

Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control will be providing low-cost rabies shots to dog, cats and ferrets of Cook County residents. Mobile clinic services will be offered on a first -come, first served basis until 2:45 p.m. Pet owners must present a valid driver's license or state ID. For public safety, all pets must be leashed or caged at all times. Microchips WILL NOT be available at this event. ?
