Join the Oak Forest Crime Prevention Commission at the 23rd Annual National Night Out in Oak Forest; Tuesday, August 6 at the City Hall Campus! 

National Night Out (36th Annual, nationally) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes and enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. 

Bring your friends, family and neighbors to this great event filled with horse rides, food samples, face painting, jump house and more!

Parking will be available at St. Damian Catholic Church (5250 155th Street). A shuttle bus from the parking lot to the event will be provided. Please look for signs for pick-up and drop-off locations.

Oak Forest High School Field House Grand Opening Event

You're invited to explore Bremen High School District 228's brand new field house before school starts! Join them for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, August 12 from 4-6pm at Oak Forest High School (15201 S. Central).

If you miss this event, ceremonies for the remaining, new field houses at High Schools within District 228 will be held for:

Hillcrest High School on August 13 from 4 - 6 PM
Tinley Park High School on August 14 from 4 - 6 PM
Bremen High School on August 15 from 4 - 6 PM

Oak Forest Rotary Blood Drive

The Oak Forest Rotary Club with the Oak Forest Park District invite you to donate blood for Heartland Blood Centers on Saturday, July 13, 2019, 9 AM - 1 PM, at the Oak Forest Park District Building (15801 S. Central).

On Thursday, September 26, at the Oak Forest Fire Department, there will be a special presentation conducted at 11.00 a.m. During the talk, blood pressure tests will be conducted. 

Join us at the Oak Forest Fire Department, 5620 James Drive. Doors open at 10 AM. Presentation at 11 AM. After the presentation, luncheon will be served. Tickets only cost $1.00. Bingo will follow the luncheon. 


Tickets are available at City Hall (15540 S. Central; 708-687-4050) or can be purchased at the door on the day of the event. Hope to see you there!

Join the Oak Forest Senior Commission!


The Oak Forest Senior Commission is looking for senior citizens who might like to serve as members of this commission, which meets in City Hall on every second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM. 

The Senior Commission gets involved in various community events, such as the annual Health Fair at the Oak Forest Park District and monthly senior lunches at the Oak Forest Community Center.
