In response to the current extreme heat conditions, the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) wants to share an updated list of area cooling centers. This is the most recent information as of July 11, 2019.

National Night Out 2019 - City Hall CampusTuesday, August 6, 2019 - 6 - 9 PM
Join the Oak Forest Crime Prevention Commission at the 23rd Annual National Night Out in Oak Forest; Tuesday, August 6 at the City Hall Campus!
National Night Out (36th Annual, nationally) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes and enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Bring your friends, family and neighbors to this great event filled with horse rides, food samples, face painting, jump house and more!
Parking will be available at St. Damian Catholic Church (5250 155th Street). A shuttle bus from the parking lot to the event will be provided. Please look for signs for pick-up and drop-off locations.

You're invited to explore Bremen High School District 228's brand new field house before school starts! Join them for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, August 12 from 4-6pm at Oak Forest High School (15201 S. Central).

Local Artist To Perform National Anthem
Local singer/songwriter/musician, Francesca Chimera from Oak Forest, will perform the National Anthem on Tuesday, July 30th at Guaranteed Rate Field when the Chicago White Sox take on the New York Mets. Game-time 7:10pm, Anthem-time 6:50 p.m.
A young lady of many talents, Francesca is also Professional Pastry Chef, and Cake Artist. She is the lead vocalist for Related Rhapsody, a Chicago-based pop rock band comprised of sister and brother duo, Francesca (25) and Anthony (22) Chimera. The siblings are both graduates from St. Damian School and active members of the St. Damian Church Music Ministry program at the 5:00pm Sunday Mass.
Between Francesca’s powerful, soulful vocals and Anthony’s melodic and bluesy guitar dynamics, the two mix multiple genres including soul, blues, funk, and pop into their sound resulting in a unique blend.
Congratulations, Francesca! Way to represent Oak Forest!

Every year, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires community water systems to deliver a Consumer Confidence Report, also known as an annual drinking water quality report, to their customers. These reports provide residents information about their local drinking water quality.

SPECIAL SENIOR LUNCHEON
Thursday, September 26, 2019Oak Forest Fire Department
On Thursday, September 26, at the Oak Forest Fire Department, there will be a special presentation conducted at 11.00 a.m. During the talk, blood pressure tests will be conducted.
Join us at the Oak Forest Fire Department, 5620 James Drive. Doors open at 10 AM. Presentation at 11 AM. After the presentation, luncheon will be served. Tickets only cost $1.00. Bingo will follow the luncheon.

Join the Oak Forest Senior Commission!
The Oak Forest Senior Commission is looking for senior citizens who might like to serve as members of this commission, which meets in City Hall on every second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM.
The Senior Commission gets involved in various community events, such as the annual Health Fair at the Oak Forest Park District and monthly senior lunches at the Oak Forest Community Center.
