Come to Oak Forest, Illinois to view the 375-foot "The Wall That Heals". Open to the public 24 hours a day Thursday October 4 through Sunday, October 7. "The Wall That Heals" is a three-quarter scale reproduction of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Washington, DC. "The Wall That Heals" honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
Visitors will be able to do name rubbings of individual service member's names on this "The Wall That Heals".

The Colonel Madden Cross-Town Mad Dash is a three mile road race through the streets of Oak Forest, Illinois. In addition to being a IHSA cross country meet for high school teams in the greater community, the Oak Forest High School Cross Country Teams will be hosting a community run immediately following their meet as a fundraiser for their program.
The event benefits the Oak Forest High School Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams.
