Denise Danihel was elected 7th Ward alderman in April 2015. Prior to winning a seat on the City Council, Denise served on the city's Planning and Zoning Commission for four years. As an alderman, Denise hopes to utilize her experience on the commission to continue to move the Oak Forest community forward.
In addition to her public service, Denise works full time at Andrew High School with multi-needs students. In addition, she is a multi-million dollar producing realtor with @Properties. Her family also owned Danihel Collision at one time.
Denise and her husband Steve have lived in Oak Forest for the past 25 years. Their sons, Frank and Tyler, attended Fierke Education Center, Central Middle School and Carl Sandburg High School. The Danihels are members of St. Damian Church. While their sons were growing up, Denise and Steve were active volunteers in Oak Forest flag football, baseball and soccer as well as the Barracudas swim team and boy scouts.
