The Oak Forest Police Department gives residents peace of mind by watching their homes when they are on vacation or will be gone for an extended period of time. To participate in the program, residents must complete the
Vacation Watch Request and submit it to the Police Department.
The Police Department offers the following tips to disguise your absence:
- Ask a neighbor to pick up your mail or contact the post office to temporarily stop delivery.
- Use electronic timers to turn off lights.
- Schedule lawn or snow maintenance.
Please notify the Police Department as soon as you return home.
