Oak Forest High School Threat

Oak Forest Police Department concluded the critical response at 3:15 PM. There were no suspicious devices located within the Oak Forest High School property. A criminal investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information related to this incident please contact the Investigations Division at the Oak Forest Police Department at 708-687-1376.

Original release - 

The Oak Forest Police Department responded to the Oak Forest High School located 15201 S. Central Ave, Oak Forest, IL at 11:58 hours to a reported bomb threat.  Oak Forest Police learned that several notes were left throughout the school indicating that the school would be blown up and seven different bombs would go off at various times.  

The Oak Forest Police Department initiated a critical response and began to investigate the threat. The Oak Forest High School administration dismissed the student early.   At this time, Oak Forest Police personnel remain on scene and are currently conducting a building search with the assistance of mass explosive detection dogs.   As more information becomes available, it will be provided upon completion of the police response.
