Thank You Clean-Up Day Volunteers

Clean Up Day Volunteers Edit

The Mayor, City Council and Oak Forest Residents would like to extend a sincere THANKS to all the volunteers who helped clean up various areas of Oak Forest on May 1.

Spearheaded by resident Erin Work who was motivated to do something after seeing various Facebook posts from residents complaining about the amount of trash strewn around town. Erin considers "picking" a relaxing hobby that started when she was younger with her dad, Tom Hudon and continues today with her husband, Caleb added to the clean-up crew.

The crew met at the Oak Forest High School and covered more than 10 locations. Over 20 bags of trash were filled and acquaintances became friends!
